My guess is that nearly everyone wants their neighborhood to be a great neighborhood, no matter how they define great neighborhood. There is more than one way to define neighborhood and neighbor.
We can also have neighborly connections with people who don’t live quite so close. Andre Stevens-Thomas is one of those people with whom I have a growing “neighbor” connection even though he doesn’t live in San Marcos.
He and I got together months ago and discussed a book I mentioned in an earlier post. That book is “In The Neighborhood” by Peter Lovenheim and right now you can get it on Kindle for under $6.00 – In The Neighborhood.
Andre is quite a musical talent and right now he’s working on an album and probably will be in the studio on and off for several months. Here’s his website:
He’s having lunch with me at Mr. Taco near Cal State San Marcos in a couple weeks.
Who else wants to get together with me for lunch?
